You don’t come here for the atmosphere. After all, it’s a hole in the wall—almost literally. This corner store has all of its freshly baked pastries in the window. No need for a menu; just point. Their crunchy, cream-filled malasada donut is my favorite, with the beef curry bun coming in close second. Don’t leave without also ordering a matcha to pair with your goodies. Easily one of the best matcha lattes in the city. They also sell Shokupan milk bread for sale upon request. You can thank me later.

Great prices, great value, and really good baked goods. I’ve been coming to both locations for years. The beef curry fried in panko is one of the star baked goods. It is crispy and has a nice crunch. It’s very asmr and it doesn’t change flavor profiles when bought during various times of the day. The ube doughnut is a delight. It’s is airy and fluffy and I love that it’s not overly sweet. The focaccia for $4.25 is huge. Ifs nice and airy and slightly oily and filled with lots of veggies and cheese. You can’t go wrong with the olive bread stick, ham and cheese croissant, canelles, and bread. This is my second review and want to highlight service. Really nice staff a very hard working multitasking beverages and baked good. 5 stars for both locations.

The beef curry bun (think savory malasada) may be one of the best pastries i've ever eaten. The dough is light and fluffy with an amazing crunch. The fillingnis rich and savory. Just enough to get a taste in every bight, but not get too messy or overpower the dough. Only a short walk from King Street Station and the perfect snack for.a train ride.

Don’t expect the malasadas here to make your social media accounts go viral: They are neither humongous nor bursting at the seams with cream nor uniquely tasty or tastier than most malasadas. They’re the modest kind you can expect for $4.50 each: about the size of the average woman’s palm, with about one-third cup of filling. I had both the crunchy one (overrated) and the ube cream-filled one. You’ll find the slight taste of oil from frying, just enough sweetness but not so much that your teeth hurt, and the slightest crunch from the sugar coating. The ube cream didn’t have a faintest taste of ube, so it’s just a regular custard-filled malasada. A malasada here, thankfully, won’t fill you up. It’s good as an afternoon snack or a first course of a breakfast tour around the ID. I personally wouldn’t come back here, but it’s worth a try if you’re in the area.

The Ube Marsalada (?) was so good that I didn't bother talking while eating it. The bread was so soft and the Ube was well-done without being too sweet. The mocha too was AMAZING. It was a privilege to eat here!

Its not like modern bakerys You just order at the door and your good. But you can definitely taste that they perfected everything they have. Yes I have tried it all. The curry and ube and the crunch creme are my fave and recently the one with actual strawberry on top.

Tried a few things here the passion fruit, matcha, and the steak curry. All were good, but the curry one was definitely the best. Super flavorful and really satisfying.

If you blink you’ll miss this place lol! Fuji bakery has no indoor dinning, it’s a tiny spot on a corner where you walk up and get your food. You can see the food through the windows. I tried a couple things but the Kouign Amann was sooooo good!! The pasty texture was perfect and the buttery sweetness spot on!! I would totally go back just for that one thing! I’m looking forward to trying more items.

We ordered a Japanese strawberry cake from Fuji Bakery for an 8th birthday and it was nothing short of exceptional. The cake was impossibly soft and airy… light, delicate, and never heavy. Each bite felt cloud like, gently sweet, and perfectly balanced. It effortlessly fed 12 kids and 10 adults and not a crumb was left behind. I still don’t quite know how to describe the texture other than elegant… it was the kind of cake that feels special without trying too hard. Beyond the cake itself, the experience was seamless from start to finish. Customer service was thoughtful, responsive, and genuinely kind. Communication throughout the ordering process was clear and reassuring, and delivery was right on time… something I deeply appreciated when planning a busy celebration. From the first message to the final slice, it felt like we were in very good hands. Highly recommend for birthdays or any moment worth celebrating.

I had the malasada from here, which is a basically fried dough with a filling inside. However, this place is known for a particular version of it - the Crunchy Cream Malasada - which has a crunchy corn flakes coating, along with the vanilla frosting inside. This is the version I had. It's fantastic. The first thing that stands out is the amazing crunch from the cornflakes on the breading. Compared to similar versions of this food I've had - the doughnut is always soft on the outside. And this can be quite enjoyable, but when there's a textural contrast coming from the outside, it just elevates it to a whole another level. The individual cornflakes as well as the entire outside is breaded perfectly. Biting into this is such a satisfying experience. The inside is also quite good. It's a vanilla custard flavor, and it fits in really well by both filling the doughnut in volume but not being excessive enough to ooze out easily. The flavor is quite sweet and vanilla-forward, and very nice. For just $4, these are around the size of your average doughnut. Overall, it's a fantastic treat that I did not even expect this place to serve, but I'm very happy I had it. 9/10
